Welcome to SAA Courage to Recover Group, a closed mixed meeting of Sex Addicts Anonymous.
My name is __________ and I'm a Sex Addict and your Moderator for this meeting. (Pause).

 

This meeting is OPEN to all who have a DESIRE TO STOP THEIR COMPULSIVE SEXUAL BEHAVIORS. THERE IS NO OTHER REQUIREMENT.

 

To help reduce line noise, please press *6 to mute your phone and Press *6 again to unmute when you would like to share. In this meeting, we do not engage in cross-talk. Cross talk means to interrupt or directly respond to the shares of other members. By group conscious, only the moderator may interrupt a member who is speaking.

Would someone please read “What is Sex Addicts Anonymous” from “Our Program” section of “Sex Addicts Anonymous” pamphlet, page 1

Would someone please read the Twelve Steps of Sex Addicts Anonymous from the SAA Green Book, page 21?

Would someone like to read the Tradition of the month and the Twelfth Tradition from the SAA Green Book, page 77?

Would someone like to read the abstinence statement on page 14 and 15 of the Green Book.

 

Is there anyone at this meeting for the first time? If so, please state your first name and where you are from.Welcome!

It is now time to celebrate milestones in sobriety? Does anyone have a milestone they would like to celebrate?

It is now time for introductions, it is the custom of this group to introduce ourselves by first name only, where we are from and a brief description of how we are feeling (There will be more time later to share in more detail). Note to Moderator: Keep tally of number of people who check in. Use later to calculate time limit for sharing.

Please avoid mentioning the name of a Book, Movie, Treatment Center or the Like, In your share because this can be viewed by some as "promotion”. It is ok, however, to talk about your experiences with these items. It is also safe to speak in “I” statements, as opposed to “you” statements. Feel free to share more specific information after the Unity Prayer when Fellowship begins.

This is an open topic meeting. Is there anyone who has a topic relating to sex addiction or recovery that they would like to discuss today? Pause

If no one suggests a topic, read daily meditation and if someone does, read something about that topic from literature.

The phone line is now open for discussion, please share on the topic or you can check in briefly.

Note to moderator: Divide amount of available share time by number of people on the line to arrive at time limit for shares, but don't go below 2 minutes.
