The Seventh Tradition ensures that every SAA group takes full responsibility for its own needs and expenses. As addicts, we were often all too ready to shirk responsibility and allow others to take care of us, clean up our messes, and attend to the necessities of life. In the program we learn instead to be accountable for ourselves and our recovery.

In accordance with the 7th tradition of SAA: Every group ought to be fully self-supporting declining outside contributions.

In face-to-face meetings a basket is passed in order to support the 7th tradition. This is not possible on telemeetings. We invite you to support telemeetings by becoming a telemeeting supporter.

Contributions to SAA Telemeetings support the maintenance of the saatalk.org website, hosting, contact lists and email services. The Telemeeting Intergroup maintains a reserve fund with the remaining funds sent to the ISO in Houston to support recovery resources and services. Please consider making a contribution.

The intergroup expenses and budget are as follows at this time:

  • Telemeeting Website and Contact List Distribution Fees: $325.00 per year
  • Post Office Box: $44.00 per year
  • Prudent Reserve: $100.00
  • Funds to send a delegate to Convention to represent intergroup: $200.00

For a total budget of $669.00.

All excess fund will be sent to the ISO.

Telemeetings are crucial for those who do not have access to, can’t or don’t want to attend face-to-face meetings or just want the convenience of telemeetings.

This is an important 12th step activity in helping to carry the message to other sex addicts. Telemeetings have done so much for so many and continue to help those struggling with and in recovery from sex addiction.
