Good afternoon and welcome! This is a closed women’s only telemeeting of Sex Addicts Anonymous. If you have a desire to stop your addictive sexual behavior you are in the right place. My name is _______ I am a sex addict and your trusted servant for this meeting.

May we have a moment of silence for the addict in and out of these rooms who still suffers followed by the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Who would like to read the Introduction on pages1 and 2 of the SAA Green Book?

Would someone please read Our Program pages 20-22 of the SAA Green Book?

Who would like to read the Our Purpose along with the12 Traditions, pg 75-77 from the SAA Green Book?

Is there anyone at this meeting for the first time? If so, please state your first name and where you are from so that we may welcome you. Welcome!

Now is the time that we celebrate milestones in sobriety (for trusted servant— please pause after each milestone to allow time for someone to speak up. If someone has a milestone ask them how they did it ). Does anyone have 30 days? 60 days? 90 days? 6 months? 9 months? 1 year? 18 months? Multiples of years? How about 24 hours?

Now let’s go around for introductions. It is the custom of this group for members to share their first name only, where you are from, how you are feeling, two to three of your outer circle behaviors that helped you in your recovery this week, and your current length of sobriety from your inner circle behaviors.

My name is _______, I’m a sex addict from _____, I feel _____, and my 2 to 3 outer circle behaviors are _____ and I have ___ days/months/years of sobriety thanks to using these behaviors.

In regards to literature: In this meeting we use onlySAA literature. The literature we are using can be obtained from the ISO of SAA, P.O. Box 70949, Houston, TX USA 77270 or by phone: 1-800-477-8191 or via the internet: www.saa-recovery.org.

Regarding sponsorship: We, as a group, believe that completing step work with a sponsor is an integral part of gaining and maintaining sexual sobriety. If you do not have a sponsor, or have questions about what a sponsor is, please talk to someone after the meeting.

Regarding phone numbers: The phone can be an important tool during recovery. Everyone is encouraged to get phone numbers of individuals whose shares they relate to, to use as part of a support system. Please be sensitive when using the phone and understand that sharing your phone number is completely voluntary.

This is an SAA Traditions Study Meeting. In this meeting we read each Tradition one paragraph at a time and then we discuss that paragraph before moving onto the next. We use only SAA literature. In following the 5th tradition we focus only on the SAA message. You may be asked to stop any shares or discussions that bring in outside literature. This is to avoid giving the wrong impression of what we have to offer by mixing our message up with other disciplines or approaches. This afternoon I will read from the SAA Green Book paragraph ____of Tradition ____on page ____.

Now the meeting is open for discussion. Please comment on the material that was just read. Remember this is a Traditions meeting, not a check-in meeting. Who would like to begin? (ForTrusted Servant—if you do need to interrupt someone’s share, try to be gentle by saying something such as “I’m sorry to interrupt, but this is just a gentle reminder that we are using only SAA literature in this meeting.” Or “I’m sorry to interrupt, but this is a gentle reminder that this is not a check-in meeting.”)

(If there are no more shares on the current paragraph, move onto the next paragraph)

Let's continue on with the next paragraph: Who would like to read paragraph_____page_____?

(For trusted servant—generally about 5 minutes before the meeting ends say “It’s now time to close the meeting”).

Now it's time for the 7th Tradition which states that every SAA group ought to be fully self supporting declining outside contributions. We have no dues or fees, but our International Service Organization (ISO) does have expenses. Contributions can be made at www.saa-recovery.org. GROUP CONSCIENCE MEETING AGENDA

Welcome to the Friday Noon women’s SAA teleconference group conscience meeting. My name is ______ and I’m a sex addict and your trusted servant for this meeting.

Would someone please read The Twelve Traditions which can be found on page 77 of the SAA Green Book?

As stated in tradition 2, Group conscience is not the same as unanimity, consensus, majority vote, or compromise. Rather than expressing the will of the group, it is the will of our Higher Power as expressed through the group. By practicing the principle of surrender, we can trust that God’s guidance, as expressed in our group conscience, will take us right where we need to be.

The Trusted Servant/Secretary will now read the minutes from last months group conscience meeting. If you would like a copy of these minutes, please contact the current Trusted Servant/Secretary. If there are no objections to the minutes read, we will adopt these minutes. Any objections?
