This page contains the work of the newly-formed "Non face-to-face Intergroup." The purpose of the Intergroup is toprovide an opportunity for meetings that are not "ground-based" to share ideas and to do problem-solving. The term "non face-to-face" includes meetings that are held via telephone conference call, Internet chat, or Skype. In other words, any meeting that is not an 'on-ground' meeting.
Each meeting is encouraged to send a representative to the monthly Intergroup meeting. A meeting's participation in the Intergroup is totally voluntary; there is no requirement for attendance. In addition, any ideas or recommendations made as the result of the Intergroup work are for a meeting's consideration. Each meeting remains autonomous and can use or decline the information as desired. However, it is hoped that the Intergroup's work will add value to your meeting.
You will get an idea of the Intergroup's work by reading their agendas and meeting minutes.

** Please Note:
"The telemeeting intergroup recommends adding some language in the leader/modarator format to welcome newcomers and let them know there will be time after the formal portion of the meeting to get numbers and ask questions. The Intergroup also suggests that a time be set aside prior to fellowship for newcomers to ask questions and request phone numbers."
It is suggested adding the following sentence in the leader script after the abstinence statement and before introductions:
"For any newcomers on the line, please be aware there will be a time for you to ask questions and request phone numbers, right after the close of the formal portion of this meeting."
It is also recommended the following sentence be added after the unity prayer:
"Now is the time for newcomers to ask questions and request phone numbers."
"The telemeeting intergroup recommends that groups come up with formal written meeting boundaries, and then submit these boundaries for addition to the saatalk.org website so individuals can make informed decisions on which meetings to attend."
